8triscanTriscan Systems has announced it has been awarded the contract to upgrade the fuel management system of bus operator Metroline.

The bus company runs 80 routes in an area extending from north to west London, including central London and the City. 1,200 buses operate from nine sites, and Triscan’s fuel management solutions will be deployed across the entire fleet of vehicles.

As part of the contract, Triscan will be one of the first companies to fit fuel management solutions to the new Wrightbus, Routemaster or ‘Boris bus’, which is due for delivery later this year.

The installation will be completed in four phases and will be project-managed in accordance with PRINCE2 principles. Triscan will provide daily reports to onsite staff regarding vehicle fitments to ensure buses remain available for service.  To further support Metroline, all vehicle fittings will be completed during the night to minimise disruption to the fleet.

The project’s installation is divided amongst four specialised teams of engineers (hardware, software, vehicle and project management), the efforts of whom are coordinated and managed by Triscan on behalf of Metroline. Triscan will be providing a complete fuel management solution including its Odyssey Web software, Triscan’s new range of Integra fuel pumps, Kisskey OBDs and tank gauges.
