TruckEast gets wheels rolling for Mick George Concrete
Scania dealer TruckEast has supplied Mick George Concrete Ltd with two new Scania 26t 6×4 mixer chassis, with 280Hp engines coupled to a 9-speed gearbox & double drive axles. The latest equipment, including 6-metre drums, has been furnished by McPhee’s.
Launched at the beginning of the New Year, Mick George Concrete Ltd supplies ready-mixed concrete and floor screeds to both trade and domestic customers in and around Cambridge. The new batching plant has been installed at Mick George’s main depot in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. Plans to expand coverage to Northampton, Corby, Kettering and Peterborough are already in phased implementation.
The two new mixers are in addition to four 44-tonne Scania tractor units that went on the road in July 2012. A further four tractor units are due for delivery in March, followed by ten 8×4 sleeper-cab, lightweight-bodied Charlton steel tippers. This brings the total to 20 vehicles supplied by TruckEast to Mick George Ltd over a 12-month period.
