CV Show: Everquip launches Euro-spec inspection pit

europitEverquip Garage Equipment used its presence at the CV Show last week to launch its new European-specification workshop inspection pit.

The Europit has been developed in order to meet European specification requirements, and as an enhanced alternative to the standard UK Servicepit.

Design features highlighted by the company include a Teseo aluminium modular air system, bespoke entry and exit options including removable galvanised access stairs, an innovative flange joint system, and integrated jacking rails for both top rail- and floor-mounted pit jacks.

The Europit offers 20,000kg axle loading (with design calculations provided) and extraction points within the base of the pit. The profile of the pit allows equipment such as reels to be added retrospectively.

The pits come with an internal 2 pack gloss finish and external protective coating, and Zone 2 lighting is supplied as standard with an additional heavy-duty option.

Further options include an automated waste oil discharge system, and a full-length suspended galvanised floor.

Everquip says its inspection pits are built to comply with complex structural calculations, determined following a site inspection to establish specific load-bearing and ground conditions for the application. The product is self-supporting, with no additional internal framework required on installation.

Each pit is subject to a rigorous quality control inspection before leaving its production facility, the company adds, and is backed by a 10-year guarantee.

Support is offered at each stage of the process, including specification, design, build, installation and after-sales.
