workeroftheyearCommercial vehicle components wholesaler TTC is encouraging workers in the CV and fleet industry sector to enter the ‘UK Worker of the Year 2013’ competition, now in its fourth year, which seeks to recognise and reward excellence in the British workforce. The winner will scoop a car or bike of their choice.

The company, which is supporting UK Worker of the Year 2013 in association with Dickies and Suzuki, says: “TTC strive for excellence in business and we know our customers do too. Putting yourself forward, or alternatively recommending someone you know, could not be easier. Simply answer a few easy questions and your passion and dedication (or that of your colleagues) will shine through.

“We are now three months into the competition and already hundreds of high quality entries have flooded in.”

The event is promoted and hosted by Quentin Willson, who writes in the Daily Mirror, and was one of the original presenters on BBC’s Top Gear.

Tony Sackett, managing director of TTC, commented: “This year we are hoping that we can get someone into the final 6 from the automotive industry; TTC are championing the CV market to try and find the right person. Flyers have been sent out from TTC with instructions on how to enter.”

This year, the UK Worker of the Year event will take place at the Madejski Stadium, Reading, and the audience will vote for the winner live at the event using an interactive voting panel.
