vosatestVOSA has published its 2012-2013 annual effectiveness report, which has demonstrated that annual test first-time pass rates are continuing to improve year-on-year.

The report, which was released shortly before Transport Operator’s October edition went to press, showed a 77.6 per cent pass rate for heavy goods vehicles, 84.3 per cent for trailers, and 81.5 per cent for buses.

VOSA and DSA chief executive Alastair Peoples said: “The findings within this report support what I have always believed, that collaboration between VOSA and the transport sector can lead the way to safer roads for UK motorists.

“Our annual effectiveness report is an excellent way for the industry to see how well we are doing and what needs to be focused on to see us continue to drive up the standards of all road users.”

Transport Operator will cover the full detail of the VOSA effectiveness report in its November/December issue. Meanwhile, operators wishing to access the report themselves can do so at the gov.uk website here.
