truckeast_drsNationwide container transport specialist DRS Logistics has taken delivery of two more R440 Toplines from Scania dealer TruckEast. The vehicles bring DRS’ total of new Scania vehicles delivered this year to 12, adding to its existing fleet of 45.

The new vehicles will be serviced through TruckEast’s Felixstowe depot, conveniently located near the docks.

The R440 Toplines are part of the new Scania R-series, which the manufacturer says is designed to meet “the highest demands in the world regarding fuel economy, driver appeal and reliability.” Benefits are said to include a “strong exterior styling” and a “new, exclusive interior with outstanding driver comfort and a wide array of colour and material options.”

Like many of TruckEast’s customers, DRS is adopting the vehicles on contract hire. TruckEast offers a range of contract hire options, where customers pay a fixed monthly cost throughout the rental period with no hidden surprises. This facilitates accurate budgeting for improved cash flow, and provides VAT benefits on rentals, TruckEast says, as well as reducing administration, costs and risks.

These contracts, tailored to customers’ needs, are often inclusive of repair and maintenance (R&M) contracts, with additional extras available such as tyres, tail lifts and bodywork amongst others, to guarantee that at the end of the period the residual value risk is eliminated.

More information about contract hire options is available from the TruckEast sales team.
