Vehicle Weighing Solutions Ltd (VWS) will be demonstrating its new Apollo range of axle weighing systems at this year’s Plant & Waste

Apollo Portable WIM - Truck

Recycling Show (PAWRS), which takes place in Paignton, Devon, 10-12 June. The range is said to offer highly accurate slow-speed and portable weighing solutions for vehicle operators.

Manufactured in Britain by VWS, the Apollo system is the next generation range of in-motion and static axle-by-axle weighing. With an accuracy to within two per cent, the Apollo Portable WIM (Weigh-in-motion) system comprises two robust and easy-to-set-up weighing platforms, linked by Bluetooth to a battery-powered indicator.  It can weigh up to 16 axles in succession and up to 30,000 kg per axle.

Fitting easily into the back of a car, it is ideal for operators who can’t install a fixed weighbridge or wish to use the equipment at multiple sites and in hard to reach areas, VWS says.  Weight records are easily transferred to a laptop or PC with a USB memory stick.

Alongside these new products, VWS’ dynamic bin-weighing system, Enviroweigh, and on-board weighing systems, will be in demonstration on the company’s stand as well as throughout the show, as they are fitted to many of the vehicle manufacturers’ demonstration vehicles.

Julian Glasspole, managing director at VWS, said: “We are delighted to return to PAWRS with an even wider selection of weighing products. We now offer a complete one-stop weighing shop with static and portable weighing as well as on board and bin-weighing.”

Back by popular demand after last year, the VWS tea urn and coffee pot will be providing an ever flowing supply of refreshments for both visitors and exhibitors.
