Green Group stays clean with WashTec drive-through system
Rotherham-based logistics company The Green Group has invested in the latest three-brush drive-through Vario Maxiwash supplied by WashTec (UK) Ltd.
The investment, which comprised a full design and build package, not only keeps the company’s vehicles clean, says WashTec – but also helps the environment, by recycling up to 70 per cent of the water that the wash uses, thereby contributing to the ISO 14001 accreditation.
The wash has been positioned so that each vehicle passes through it whenever they enter the company depot, thus helping to maintain The Green Group’s clean and efficient image.
The vehicle wash has a high pressure system of 15 bar that can accommodate vehicles with a maximum height of 4.95m (double-decker) and a width of 2.6m, and also includes a chemical pre-wash. It can wash skeletal, tanker, tipping, flat-bed trailers and tankers.
The wash has a full built-in software system so that different programmes can be set centrally at the company office for different functions, ranging from smaller vehicles through to 44-ton vehicles.
