Bridgestone launches new Dayton truck tyre range
Bridgestone says its Dayton brand is set to “shake up the budget truck tyre segment” with a new line-up of truck tyres, available from September.
Promising “essential performance at the best price”, the new Dayton line-up of steer, drive and trailer tyres is also retreadable, providing improved value for money in the long-term, says Bridgestone.
The range, which is manufactured in Europe, includes three flagship tyres for the truck segment: the D500S Steer tyre, the D600D Drive tyre and the D400T Trailer tyre.
Benefits of the Dayton D500S Steer tyre are said to include easy manoeuvering and low noise tread; while the tyre’s built-in stone ejectors and resistance to irregular wear contribute to long tyre life, says Bridgestone.
Meanwhile, the Dayton D600D Drive tyre is designed to handle well in wet conditions, provide grip when most needed, and offer safety and comfort, the firm adds. M+S and 3-Peaks Alpine markings guarantee all-season performance, even on snow; while the durable casings are said to offer consistent performance even after retreading.
Finally, the Dayton D400T Trailer free-rolling tyre is claimed to offer durable performance with good resistance to irregular wear.
Dayton D500S and D600D will be available as from September 2015 in size 315/80 R22.5, in combination with the trailer tyre D400T in size 385/65 R22.5. The line-up will be extended from February 2016 with the incorporation of D500S and D600D in sizes 295/80 R22.5 and 315/70 R22.5, covering most popular truck tyre sizes.
