DPF Clean Team launches online offering for aftermarket filters

dpfcleanteam_shopFleet managers sourcing replacement diesel particulate filters (DPFs) can now access aftermarket replacements which make regeneration easier, and cost two thirds less than most OEM replacements, according to automotive parts reconditioning specialist DPF Clean Team.

The company says it is offering the filters through its online store, as well as catalytic converters and SCR silencer units, as an alternative solution for the rare occasions when filters are unable to be cleaned once blocked.

This may be because the ceramic monolith, or filter element of a DPF, catalytic converter or silencer, has broken beyond repair, or because of a complete mechanical failure.

Cameron Bryce, director at DPF Clean Team, said: “Having cleaned DPFs for over six years we have an incredibly high success rate, and are able to clean 99 per cent of all DPFs, catalytic converters and silencers that are brought to us. However, once the filter element becomes broken, a component cannot be cleaned and the alternative is often a costly replacement.

“Using our many years of expertise in diesel vehicles, we have sourced a different option, which is more cost effective and efficient than many OEM replacements. With the launch of our online shop, we have moved closer to offering a complete, one-stop solution for all DPF-related issues.”

The company cites a recent survey it conducted, which found that fleet managers are paying more attention to their DPFs, catalytic converters and SCR silencer units – with the company reporting a 20 per cent increase in the number of fleet enquiries received this year compared to 2014.

“The cost of a fleet having a vehicle off the road because of a blocked component can be very high, considering the time and money associated with sourcing, fitting and paying for a replacement filter,” said the firm.

“In comparison, the cost and time associated with cleaning a DPF, or sourcing one of DPF Clean Team’s aftermarket replacements, can be considerably lower.”

Cameron Bryce concluded: “All the DPFs, catalytic converters and silencers from our shop are carefully selected by us, ensuring they meet our own strict criteria. We offer a wide range of DPFs, and can even source specific makes and models if the DPF isn’t already in stock.

“Not only is it more cost effective than purchasing a replacement filter from other sources, but ordering a replacement from us comes with years of expertise and knowledge behind it.”
