New DVSA boss appointed

dvsa_signThe new chief executive of the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) will be Gareth Llewellyn, who will take over from acting chief exec Paul Satoor on 1 April.

Llewellyn, who has held senior roles with National Grid plc, Anglo American plc and Network Rail, has also held board roles at Biffa plc, the Renewable Fuels Agency and the Harwich Haven Authority.

“The services DVSA provides touch the lives of everyone in Great Britain, whether it be through enabling people to drive or ensuring vehicles are safe to take to the road,” he said.

“The professionalism of everyone at the DVSA will enable us to respond to the ever changing expectations of our customers, helping them travel safely every day.”

Satoor will remain as deputy chief executive of the agency.
