ExxonMobil has launched a new Mobil Delvac range of engine oils for the European light commercial sector – with benefits said to include excellent engine protection and fuel economy potential, even in tough city driving conditions.

Available now, the range includes the Mobil Delvac City Logistics 5W-30 (P, V, F, M) and Mobil Delvac Light Commercial Vehicle E 10W-40 engine lubricants, which have approvals from leading LCV manufacturers including Peugeot, Citroën, Iveco, Volkswagen, Ford and Mercedes-Benz.

“Taking some time to understand the benefits that high performance engine oils can deliver can lead to real rewards for your bottom line,” said Richard Grist, European commercial vehicles marketing manager at ExxonMobil Fuels & Lubricants.

“While oils for cars or trucks do an adequate job, a dedicated oil for your vehicle that is tailor-made for the challenging city driving conditions you face each day makes perfect sense.”

The City Logistics 5W-30 fully synthetic lubricant is said to deliver long engine life and help maintain fuel economy, while the Light Commercial Vehicle E 10W-40 semi-synthetic lubricant is said to help promote long engine life for older light commercial vehicles.

The protection afforded by Mobil Delvac engine oils can help reduce the likelihood of unexpected maintenance issues, thereby avoiding downtime and a loss to profitability, the company says.

“We’re delighted to be launching our tailored light commercial vehicle lubricant range,” added Richard Grist.

“This is the first comprehensive, dedicated light duty offer for the European market and will help us ensure we deliver the right products for this rapidly growing sector of the industry…

“With our extensive experience in the commercial vehicle lubricants sector, we aim to provide you peace of mind that your vehicle engine is well protected, even in tough start-stop city driving conditions.

“We also remain committed to continue to invest in and develop the next generation of high performance lubricants to support this sector in the future.”
