New lighting launches for Valeo
Vehicle components provider Valeo Service UK has announced the addition of new commercial vehicle lighting products to its portfolio.
These include the Cibié MyBeam 046154 LED Worklamp, designed for Volvo models FH, FM, FMX, FE and FL, and Renault T, K and C trucks.
Features of the worklamp highlighted by Valeo include resistance to extreme conditions, with certified IP67 water and dust ingress protection, and resistance to corrosion, UV and vibration up to 10G.
The light provides 1,500 lumen of LED flux and 900 lumen of effective flux, with a 6,000K light colour. Resistant to temperatures between -40°C and +65°C, the lamp also includes reversed polarity protection, and a two-year warranty.
The company has also launched a new 24V replacement bulb offering. The three ranges available from Valeo include the Essential range, said to offer guaranteed equivalent quality to the original equipment bulb.
Meeting the R37 standard regulation, the Essential bulbs also meet OE specification for life duration, says Valeo, with additional testing developed for OES beyond European regulations. The available references (ECE codes) include H7, H4, H1, H3, H11, R5W, P21W, R10W, W5W, PY21W, P21/5W, C5W, T4W, W3W and P21W.
Also available is the Life x 2 range, requiring less frequent replacement and therefore reduced long-term expense, particularly for long-haul applications. The range is said to offer double the lifetime of a standard bulb, achieved due to a higher diameter filament compared to the Essential range. Life x 2 are available in H1, H3 and H4 references.
Valeo additionally offers a Shock Resistant bulb range for vehicles exposed to severe road conditions, including construction and refuse vehicles. This is achieved thanks to a stronger filament as compared to the Essential range. The eight references available are H1, H3, H7, R5W, R10W, T4W, PY21W and P21W.
