New traffic commissioners (TCs) electric vehicles have been appointed for the North West England and Wales areas: Gerallt Evans and Victoria Davies replacing the outgoing Simon Evans and Nick Jones, respectively.

Gerallt Evans has over 30 years’ experience in the legal sector, having worked for the Crown Prosecution Service for nearly all this time, in Wales and in London. He is also currently deputy chief crown prosecutor, with responsibility for all magistrates courts prosecutions in Wales.

Victoria Davies has worked as a senior lawyer overseeing the Welsh government’s transport team since 2010, and has 25 years’ experience in the legal profession – including at the Department for Transport.

Senior TC Richard Turfitt said: “I am delighted that Victoria and Gerallt have been appointed to the TC team.

“They bring with them valuable experience of legal process and regulation, which will be used to great effect in serving the communities of their respective traffic areas.”
