DVSA will continue to operate its annual tests for vehicles and trailers through the ATF network during the current lockdown.

Operators have been asked to only book tests close to the due dates, to ensure vehicles that legally need a test can get one, and reminded that they should continue to operate the legally required scheduled inspections and maintenance.

Vocational licence theory tests have been suspended until 2 December. Where possible Driver CPC training should be done remotely, says DVSA, but where this is not possible, classroom-based teaching in a suitable Covid-secure environment is allowed. In-vehicle training should not be carried out.
