Emissions control specialist Excalibre has outlined the advantages of the Procare Drive real-time monitoring system for its Proventia NOxBuster City product offering.

While an emissions retrofit can yield NOx reductions of approximately 90 per cent and a greater-than 95 per cent reduction in particulate matter emitted under controlled conditions, Excalibre says, for the operator of the vehicle it can be difficult to discern whether the system is functioning as intended.

“The NOxBuster City system, provided by Proventia and installed by Excalibre Technologies, has been rigorously designed and tested to ensure that once fitted to your vehicle you, and those around you, can breathe easy knowing that your vehicle has a greatly reduced impact on the environment,” said the company.

“In addition to the environmental benefits, it also allows you to go about your normal working week in the London ULEZ or other clean air zones around the country without facing a fine for doing so…

As a part of every retrofit package Proventia provide real-time monitoring of the NOxBuster City system to ensure that your vehicle is performing exactly as promised. This monitoring facility is called the Procare Drive, and is offered via a web-based service accessible from any PC, tablet or smartphone with an internet connection, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”

The data is logged using a device installed on the vehicle, explains Excalibre, allowing quick access to the NOx levels, exhaust gas temperature and backpressure data of all the NOxBuster City systems in a fleet.

“The powerful Procare Drive can also provide data to improve the efficiency of the vehicles in the fleet, providing data on average vehicle speed, DPF and SCR operation alerts as well as AdBlue level, temperature and dosing rate information,” said the firm.

“All data can be easily exported for reporting purposes, shared with relevant parties and displayed graphically to ensure an ease of communication as required.

“The data generated is collected and saved in the secure cloud storage and can easily be recalled as required. Minimal training is required to use the system with a simple user interface and setup provided. Access to the Procare Drive system is free of charge for the first two years after installation, with a SIM card and data included for this period.”

The Procare Drive telemetry package comes with every Proventia NOxBuster City system and can benefit all from owner operators to large fleet managers, says Excalibre. Details of all of the retrofit systems available from Proventia can be found on Proventia’s website, Excalibre’s website or on the CVRAS list.
