Premier Pits’ under-chassis wash range
Premier Pits has been supplying the commercial vehicle and PSV sectors with pre-fabricated steel pits for more than 40 years, but also offers a range of under-chassis washdown pits and ramps, designed for cleaning vehicles in preparation for MOTs and general upkeep.
“There are three options in the range, catering for all circumstances and space available in the yard,” said the company.
“The first is a galvanised washdown pit, which is the most compact solution and ideal for those with limited outdoor space, and for operators who run specialist vehicles, such as cranes.
“Similar to standard pre-fabricated pits, Premier under-chassis wash pits are galvanised and include a large, built-in sump with a weir. A GRP grid floor allows for an anti-slip finish.
“This solution allows vehicles to be simultaneously washed from above and below, saving time and yard space.”
The second option is a half washdown pit and half ramp combination, designed for yards with width and height restraints and/or challenging ground conditions.
“It takes up approximately 19.5-metres of yard space and comprises a pit, flanked by two ramps,” said Premier.
“The pit is deliberately shallower than the standard washdown pit option, which makes this version ideal for premises located on loose surfaces such as gravel or sand.”
The third and final option is the galvanised full ramp, which is the largest option at 28.2 metres, but can be shorter depending on the type of vehicles being used on the ramp.
Said Premier: “It is a fully structural calculated ramp, that can handle up to eight tonnes per axle with a safe working load of 40 tonnes and includes a safe walkway and stairs for the drivers to enter and exit the vehicle.”
