Ford ‘back with a vengeance’ at CV Show
Commercial Vehicle Show organisers have announced that LCV market leader Ford of Britain has confirmed its commitment to the 2021 event, which runs from 31 August to 2 September at the NEC Birmingham.
“The Commercial Vehicle Show is the most important date in the UK commercial vehicle calendar and we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors back onto our stand once again,” said Mandy Dean, director, commercial vehicles, Ford of Britain & Ireland.
“Ford has been the backbone of business in an especially difficult year, helping to keep the country moving.
“Transit is currently the UK’s best-selling vehicle and has been leading the way in commercial vehicles for 56 years, while Ranger accounts for more than one in three pick-ups sold in the UK.
“With exciting new products – including our data-driven technical support, FordLiive, to maximise vehicle productivity, we’re back with a vengeance this year to demonstrate our award-winning products and technology.”
CV Show bosses have emphasised the importance of this year’s event in getting businesses back on track post-pandemic.
For the first time in over two years, the Show will offer fleet managers, business owners and transport operators a forum in which to come together and discuss solutions and opportunities for rebuilding, after a challenging 18 months for the sector.
With 2022 looking set to bring even more changes as the UK and EU establish new trading rules and regulations, the organisers add, it is more important than ever for operators to make informed decisions about the best products and services to meet their needs.
As such, the event is set to play host to hundreds of exhibitors from across the road transport sector, showcasing their latest product and service innovations.
In addition, the 2021 CV Show will be hosting a programme of live theatre discussions between sector leaders, innovators and commentators, which will tackle key issues facing the sector across all three days, providing operators with essential advice and information.
Commercial Vehicle Show director Murray Ellis, said: “We are delighted to be able to announce Ford’s participation at this year’s Show. We have been working hard to develop a comprehensive programme for the 2021 Commercial Vehicle Show and Ford’s recommitment this year demonstrates the importance of the event to the industry.”
As ever, Transport Operator will be providing its comprehensive CV Show Preview in our next (July/August) print issue, featuring the latest news on the event, and detailing the products and services set to be unveiled by an extensive cross-section of exhibitors.
Meanwhile, further information on the 2021 CV Show, and the facility to register for free tickets to the event, are available at the website.
