Independent Scania dealer and vehicle maintenance provider Keltruck has outlined the benefits of its servicing offering for trailer fleets, emphasising the importance of ensuring trailers are maintained as professionally as trucks.

“The 16,000 trailer parts we stock alone mean there are 16,000 good reasons to come to Scania for all your trailer servicing requirements,” said Russ Warner, aftersales director, adding that all work is carried out by fully-trained Scania technicians operating to the highest possible standards.

The company highlights convenience as one of the key benefits of its offering.

“With Keltruck already providing a full complement of repair and maintenance services for all makes of commercial vehicles, it makes perfect sense to entrust your trailer servicing to us too,” said Russ.

“Quite simply we take care of everything, with one-stop shopping, reduced administration and no more chasing around after suppliers being just three of the benefits you will reap.”

Keltruck has been providing full trailer maintenance to leading transport operators for many years, including supermarket retailers, express parcel delivery firms and home delivery providers.

All types and makes of trailers are covered for service and repair, from flatbeds to moving-floor double decks, and from drawbar eco-fridges to specialised load carriers – while an extensive parts stock-holding covers all makes, ensuring parts availability is high and downtime is minimised.

Keltruck also offers a tanker support service, covering all aspects of tanker maintenance including mandatory Vapour Tightness and ADR Leakproof testing for petroleum tankers.

“In cooperation with our Competent Authority Partners, we can also provide a Written Scheme of Examination in line with specific customer requirements,” added Russ.

The firm also points to its extensive experience in installing and maintaining a wide range of ancillary equipment including tail-lifts, refrigeration systems and shutter doors, as well as provision of full legal compliance services, such as LOLER testing.

“Today, we work in partnership with many leading ancillary equipment suppliers and have integrated their replacement parts into our own supply chain system,” added Russ.

“From a single repair to a fully-managed ongoing support programme we will provide the service you need to keep your trailers on the road.

“Our bespoke range of Service and Repair & Maintenance support programmes are individually-tailored to meet every need.

“In addition, our Centrally Managed contracts service provides a full management reporting service, assuring you of best-value at all times.”

The company highlights the continual investment in its network of workshop locations, especially over the past two decades.

“We firmly believe our fully-skilled technicians are the best in the industry, and they work with the latest generation diagnostic equipment and specialist tools to deliver service of the highest quality, time after time.”

A consequence of this is excellent MOT pass rates, says Andrew Bentley, aftersales general manager.

“Our expert technicians and state-of-the-art equipment assures the best possible attention when it comes to MOT preparation.”

All trailer servicing work is fully guaranteed and covered by the nationwide Scania Assistance roadside service. In the event of a trailer breakdown, the service can respond with an average callout time of 60 minutes, wherever and whenever required. It includes roadside assistance or, if need be, recovery to the nearest Scania service centre.

The Scania Assistance service ensures that a trailer on contract maintenance in the Midlands, for example, which has a failure in Scotland, would be fully covered and looked after as if it were at its home dealer.

Keltruck has two dedicated accident repair centres and can offer next day insurance estimates which includes damage to non-Scania vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment.

“In the event of an accident, we can take care of everything – from recovery of the trailer, through all liaison with insurance companies, to returning your trailer to the road and ready for service in the shortest possible time.”

In addition to its services for single, double-deck and plant trailers, Keltruck highlights its dedicated site in Tamworth for the support of ADR and dangerous goods trailers, with additionally trained technicians.

The company also has fully trained technicians to tackle the maintenance complexities of car transporters.

The network provides standard times for all major trailers repairs and servicing which is said to ensure fairness for customers, with time measured in six-minute intervals and independent auditing.

“We have route to warranty on most manufacturers’ trailers and hold adequate stock levels to support customers across our locations,” Andrew added.
