Amipart launches new brake pad range
Commercial vehicle spares supplier Amipart has announced the launch of a range of OEM quality brake pads, which it says are available at competitive aftermarket prices.
All Amipart brake pads are manufactured in state-of-the-art facilities to the most stringent quality controls. Holding ISO 9001 and TS16949 certification, all pads are accredited through to ECE Reg 90.
Amipart says the brake pads, which are sourced from a global player in the OEM brake pad supply chain that supplies to over 50 countries worldwide, offer both quality and performance. They are said to deliver consistent and efficient braking performance under all temperatures and conditions, with a sintered carbon metallic composition, a friction coefficient of 0.4 and a maximum continuous working temperature of 600°C.
This provides the perfect combination of disc and pad life, Amipart claims, with minimal noise and pad fade across both normal and high temperature operating conditions.
The pads, whose advantages also include an adhesive for enhanced strength and a multi-layer bonding process between the backplate and friction material, are supplied with all the necessary accessories for installation.
The Ami-Stop Pro range contains a welded mesh backplate to improve sheer strength and efficiency. The pads come complete with titanium bedding-in coating, which is said to ensure maximum surface contact almost immediately, avoiding the usual time required to bed-in the pad.
This layer will quickly match the disc surface after only a few brake applications, the company adds, avoiding the creation of localised hot spots and transferring the braking load across the entire pad and disc surface. As the titanium strip wears, this leaves the ceramic technology of the Amipart friction material to continue the braking process with minimal dust.
Located in Leyland, Preston, Amipart supplies an extensive range of replacement commercial vehicle spares for major vehicle manufacturers. The range includes replacement parts for brake and clutch, electrical, steering, suspension, rotating electrics, body components and much more.
Amipart is a division of the Leyland Holding Company, which through its subsidiaries offers a bumper-to-bumper parts supply along with a range of new DAF trucks for export.
Along with its new range of brake pads, Amipart has also launched its latest parts catalogue. More information is available from the Amipart website.
