Stoneridge launches tacho upgrade discount scheme
Tachograph supplier Stoneridge has announced the launch of a new discount scheme which it says will save fleets 20 per cent (excluding labour and calibration costs) when upgrading their old analogue tachographs to the SE5000 Exakt Duo.
Citing the increasing challenges for operators continuing to manage vehicles running on analogue tachographs, Stoneridge is offering discounts across its range of digital kits through any workshop in the Stoneridge network until 1July 2014.
By upgrading to the digital tachograph, operators will greatly reduce the administrative burden of chart analysis, the company says, as well as being able to more cost effectively manage their fleets.
The SE5000 Exakt Duo tachograph also includes the ‘one-minute rule’ calculations which could see fleets saving on average 45 minutes of driving time per driver per day – while the integrated Duo technology provides real-time updates and countdowns on drive and rest times to assist with compliance.
All Stoneridge digital tachographs are equipped with a two-year unlimited mileage warranty and the potential to upgrade to remote download, for easy and quick download of VU and driver card data.
SE5000 Exakt Duo users include Roger Mead of BM Tankering Ltd. He said: “We are so impressed we are considering changing the rest of our fleet over to these superb units.”
