Europa invests in aide trailer movement deterrent

vor lockTransport and logistics specialist Europa Worldwide Logistics has completed a supply deal with vehicle equipment supplier aide automotive in a bid to help prevent unauthorised trailer movement.

Europa operates in 100 countries across six continents, and offers a land service across Europe, employing over 400 people in the UK. Europa’s Craig Roberts located aide automotive via the world wide web, and invested in six new trailer VOR locks, which will allow the logistics operator to improve its trailer management procedures.

The trailer VOR lock is a trailer movement deterrent made from stainless steel, which incorporates an integrated lock. The unit is simple to fit, aide says, and provides a key-protected barrier to prevent coupling and restrict unauthorised trailer movement.

The device can be easily applied and removed via key control, fits most standard trailer formats, and is available with individual or keyed alike variations.

Said to be ideal for yard management, the locks are installed easily onto the trailer coupling, protecting VOR (vehicle off-road) trailers from unauthorised movement, particularly when maintenance issues are at stake. It also provides a simple, cost-effective deterrent against opportunistic theft, aide claims.
