Portland helps drive change with AdBlue offering
Portland Fuel, a VDA-approved nationwide supplier of AdBlue, has urged fleets to consider how best to manage their consumption of the fluid in order ensure cost efficiency.
“When running low on AdBlue, it is crucial to top up at the earliest possible opportunity as engine performance could be drastically reduced and may require a minimum amount of AdBlue to function again,” the company advised.
“Consumption rates of AdBlue vary depending the number of diesel vehicles in your fleet, vehicle size and types, and fuel economy.
“Knowing the amount of AdBlue your diesel fleet will require enables you to look at more cost-effective methods and calculate what savings you can make on this.”
Portland provides a range of AdBlue options, with delivery available nationwide in 205L drums, 1000L intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), or bulk, depending on the size and requirements of the business.
Subject to certain volume requirements, Portland can offer tank purchasing contract agreements.
“Based on an agreed volume at a fixed AdBlue price, we will fund the supply and fit of your AdBlue tank,” said the firm.
Founded in 2009, Portland operates across Europe and North America and works with the municipal transport, trucking and oil reseller sectors. The company offers a range of fuel cards and fuel advisory services, and specialises in pricing and analytics, and fuel price protection.
