Connexas Direct Vision Standard webinar: watch video

Telematics specialist Connexas, part of AddSecure, hosted a free virtual event on 28 October to discuss the upcoming enforcement of Transport for London’s Direct Vision Standard – sharing with customers and colleagues what adjustments are required of commercial fleets operating in Greater London to improve their direct vision and secure a DVS permit.

The Direct Vision Standard will be enforced from March 2021, and aims to reduce deaths and injuries caused to pedestrians and cyclists involving HGVs. In the webinar, which is available below, Connexas demonstrates how a comprehensive multi-camera solution can directly improve the direct vision of HGVs, bringing them up TfL’s star rating system.

The event includes talks from special guest speakers, including Christina Calderato, the Head of Transport Planning and Strategy for Transport for London. Christina is responsible for developing strategic transport policy on the TfL network over the next 30 years, such as road danger reduction and freight policy, including the development of the Direct Vision Standard. The webinar also features heavy weight parcel delivery giant Whistl, which has already begun the process of elevating their fleet’s direct vision with the help of a Connexas solution.
