Workshop supplier Butts of Bawtry offers a variety of booster pack and battery charging solutions for commercial vehicle applications, and emphasises the importance of effective battery management in keeping downtime to a minimum.
“The last thing any operator needs is to be in a rush early in a morning and a coach or HGV won’t start,” said the company.
“We would always recommend having a good quality booster pack readily available and charged to ensure that these vehicles can still be sent out within minutes.
“All our booster packs are made in Belgium to a very high standard, and all carry a two-year warranty which includes the batteries, and a lifetime warranty on the unbreakable housing.
“They also have curved clamps with an LED in the negative clamp to helpfully aid connecting to the right battery terminals.”

“For maintaining vehicle batteries, we would always recommend a good quality battery charger that doesn’t just trickle charge, but will analyse the battery and charge over a nine-step programme, ensuring that the battery is not only fully charged but reconditioned ensuring longevity of that 
battery,” the company continued.
“Our chargers are 100 per cent safe and can’t be used incorrectly. They protect against reverse polarity, short circuits, overcharge and can even charge batteries from 0.8v. The digital display easily shows the stage of the charge process, what mode it’s in and what the charge level is at.
“They will also charge lithium batteries as well as standard and AGM Start-Stop batteries.
