Stoke-on-Trent-based operator DWP Transport has taken delivery of 40 anti-siphon devices (ASDs) from vehicle equipment supplier aide automotive, to help protect its fleet from the risk of fuel theft.

DWP, which was established in 1994 as a family owned-business, operates a modern fleet of fridge and curtain trailers for customers across the UK and Europe. The devices were ordered by DWP’s Danny Poole.

“The latest ASD on the market is the Ultra HGV Anti Siphon Permanent Plus,” said aide automotive.

“An anti-truck fuel theft prevention device is extremely cost-effective; for a small investment it could save a company thousands in terms of stolen fuel and vehicle downtime.”

Benefits of the Ultra HGV Anti Siphon Permanent Plus are said to include excellent value, improved strength, a permanent fixing method, faster installation and compatibility with all fuel caps.
