Dennison highlights pillarless development
Recent innovations from trailer manufacturer Dennison include the pillarless curtainsider EN12642-XL, which is ENXL certified to 4.8m high. Constructed with a bolted main body, the curtainsider boasts a stronger and more robust design, says the company, making it easier to repair in the case of accidental damage.
“The pillarless curtainsider is built to remarkably high standards and has an array of additional features to ensure safe and efficient operation,” said Dennison Trailers.
“This includes galvanised front pillars to prevent corrosion, as well as galvanised rear corner protectors to protect the rear of the trailer from damage when reversing into a loading bay.”
The curtainsider also features a raised coupling box for connecting cables, says the manufacturer, contributing to operator ease – while inside the trailer, the high-quality flooring is tested to ISO 1496-1 standards.
“The front and rear curtain ratchet tensioners enable the curtains to be opened from the front or rear of the trailer, while the bulkhead strap storage is ideal for storing load restraint straps when not in use,” said the firm.
“Other handy features include the lift-up deck rings and pull-out ladder.
“With a full range of options available, every curtainsider is custom-made to fit individual requirements, ensuring that all customers receive the highest level of aftercare and a trailer built to last.”
A family-run business, Dennison Trailers has been building trailers for almost 60 years, producing more than 60,000 trailers to date.
Its factories in Naas (Ireland) and Lancaster (UK) manufacture its full range of trailers including skeletals, curtainsiders, tippers, platforms, and machinery carriers.
“Dennison Trailers continue to innovate and grow its range of specialist trailers, such as the sliding bogie skeletal,” said the firm.
“This trailer is leading the market due to its revolutionary pin and roller design, which allows both parts to be changed easily without having to split the entire trailer apart.
“The sliding bogie also features stainless steel wear pads, to minimise wear to the chassis and alleviate rusting, as well as a galvanised pull-out crash bar assembly, for use when carrying 45ft or 13.6m containers.”
