GYS starters give fleets a boost

Battery equipment provider GYS offers a variety of booster packs suitable for commercial vehicle applications, including the Startpack Pro 12.24 CI, a professional autonomous starter for 12V and 24V lead batteries (liquid, AGM, EFB, gel).

“Thanks to its two high-performance internal lead batteries, it develops a high starting current. The booster integrates an intelligent charger that perfectly pre-serves the health of its two batteries,” said the company.

“Compact, robust and supplied with a trolley, it is ideal for breakdown-services on site and in agricultural workshops, trucks, buses or for construction machinery.”

Thanks to its powerful built-in 4A charger (IUoU curve), the unit can be charged 100 per cent from the mains, quickly and unattended, says GYS; its intelligent seven-step charging curve extends the life and performance of its internal batteries.

“The Startpack Pro 12.24 CI has a comfortable power-to-weight ratio. Delivered with its trolley, it is easily transportable and adapts perfectly to all types of environments (in the work-shop or on site),” said GYS.

“This product provides protection for the vehicle’s on-board electronics, the charger, the battery and the user.”

The battery switch protects on-board electronics, avoids short circuits, protects against polarity inversion (with audible alarm and indicator light) and avoids sparks when connecting the clamps, GYS explains.

Also available is the Gyspack Pro 900, an autonomous starter with integrated charger for starting all vehicles equipped with 12V batteries.

“Equipped with a high performance lead battery (in start-up: 830A at 1V/c and 3100A at battery peak), the Gyspack Pro 900 is ideal for starting up light vehicles, vans, tractors and trucks,” said the company.

“With its small size and 15kg weight, it is easily transportable on site and without effort.”

It includes 1.80m of cables for optimum user comfort, and protection against polarities inversion thanks to an audible warning device and an indicator light. It also features a fuse to protect vehicles against overvoltage, short circuits and avoid sparks when connecting the clamps.

“Thanks to its integrated automatic charger (6A – curve seven-step intelligent charging), the Gyspack Pro 900 recharges 100 per cent from the mains, unattended, even when permanently connected,” said GYS.

A cigarette lighter socket is included for holding or saving vehicle memories (15A fuse) when changing batteries. The pack is also equipped with corner pads, to protect the cover from impact when working in demanding environments.

The company also supplies a Gyspack 750 self-contained starter for vans, cars and campervans.
