Fastview360 aids integration with AutoCMS
Camera systems provider Fastview360 has highlighted some of the key features of its AutoCMS app, which it says can help fleets integrate data from multiple camera systems as well as telematics providers.
“Telematics is a vital part of fleet management and day-to-day operations when working in busy transport office,” said Fastview360.
“Having a high quality, reliable camera solution is becoming an essential tool for a busy transport manager – whether that is to help with video evidence when there has been an accident, video proof of driver behaviour to assist with driver development, or something as simple as to stream live what a driver is seeing if there is a difficult site entrance.”
One problem, however, is that fleets can end up with multiple camera platforms, planning tools and telematics software logins, the company points out, meaning that keeping track of multiple passwords and learning how all the software works is becoming a bigger and bigger challenge.
“AutoCMS has been developed to ensure simplicity, provide great features, and with the integration with some of the leading telematic companies such as Webfleet, Orbcomm, Geotab and GPS Live, allows the telematic data and the camera video information to be seamlessly integrated,” said the firm.
AutoCMS also provides the ability to combine multiple camera solutions, all accessible through the one system. The telematics platforms are then integrated, providing a single platform for all telematics and camera systems.
“Telematic events are used as triggers for the video evidence to automatically download, so you can see what is happening as it happens,” Fastview360 added.
“Video evidence isn’t just for naming and shaming but for improving driver behaviour and helping to reduce costs to you.
“If a driver drives too close to a vehicle ahead, we know that they are likely to trigger a harsh braking event. Integrating the video proof and working with the driver viewing the camera footage, a driver review will be able to encourage the driver to improve.
“Having the video footage available along with accurate telematics statistics will enable you to reduce costs by encouraging the driver to drive slower, keep sensible distances and not to accelerate too fast. This in turn also improves both road and driver safety, reduces stress on the driver and reduces accidents.”
When all applications are linked to one account, the integration offers time-saving benefits, the firm adds.
“Automated processes such as remote footage retrieval from incidents, remote telematic incident footage retrieval, live viewing and live locations gives you peace of mind that you are working in a streamlined process.”
Training of the platform is provided with refresher sessions available, and a dedicated support team is ready to help with any enquiries.
