Under-chassis cleaning with Premier Pits
Premier Pits has been manufacturing and installing pre-fabricated steel pits for 40 years. The company is well known for its range of specialist prefabricated workshop pits; however, it also offers a range of under-chassis washdown pits and ramps, designed for cleaning vehicles in preparation for MOTs.
There are three designs in the range. The first is a galvanised washdown pit, which is the most compact solution and said to be ideal for those with limited outdoor space. Premier Wash Down Pits have a large, built-in sump with a weir and a flow forge or GRP floor, which allows vehicles to be simultaneously washed from above and below, saving time and workshop space.
The second option is a half wash down pit and half ramp combination, designed for garages with width and height restraints and/or challenging ground conditions.
It takes up approximately 19.5-metres of yard space and comprises a pit, with two ramps. The pit is shallower than the standard washdown pit option, which makes this option ideal for premises located on loose surfaces such as gravel or sand, Premier says.
The third option is a galvanised full ramp, which is the company’s largest such system at 28.2 metres, although each ramp is tailored to the types of vehicles which are to be washed, meaning it is possible to opt for a shorter ramp.
Each ramp has full structural calculations, that can handle up to eight tonnes per axle with a safe working load of 40 tonnes, and includes walkways and stairs for the drivers to exit the vehicle.
All of the above products are CE certified.
