Borg & Beck brake parts go the distance in BTRC
Two British Truck Racing Championship (BTRC) Division One teams, Cole Trucksport and Smith Truck Racing, are fitting Borg & Beck CV brake pads and discs in the 2022 season.
First Line Ltd, which supplies the Borg & Beck brand, says quality is a must when fitting braking components to any commercial vehicle, especially as stopping distances for heavy-duty vehicles can increase by up to 50 per cent compared to that of the average passenger car.
The Cole Trucksport racing team has repeatedly fitted the brand’s braking products to their truck throughout previous seasons to help deliver success on the circuit. Thanks to consistent reliability, the team has again revived its partnership with the brand.
In the upcoming season, which kicks off in April at Brands Hatch and is the first of seven race weekends throughout the country, Borg & Beck has announced that it is also supplying the pads and discs for Smith Truck Racing.
First Line cites the Borg & Beck brand’s extensive OE heritage; and the brand also supplies the independent aftermarket with a comprehensive range of commercial vehicle components, including for DAF, Scania, Renault, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, MAN and Iveco applications.
Further highlighted benefits of the range include accurate look-up via OE reference, extensive availability, supply of new units only, and delivery in strong, robust packaging, so that the products are well-presented when they arrive ready to be fitted.

Race weekends are set to take place at Brands Hatch, Pembrey, Thruxton, Donington Park and Snetterton between April and November.
