Staying safe with Esprit windscreen repairs

Windscreen repair equipment provider Esprit has explained how its kits can be used to deal with chips and cracks, to get fleet vehicles back on the road quickly for very little outlay.

“Damage on the screen can be really distracting to the driver, drawing the eye away from the road and to the damage,” said the company.

“Even a moment’s distraction can be deadly, especially when you’re driving HGVs or other large vehicles. Additionally, a chip can easily turn into a large crack which can’t be repaired if it isn’t dealt with fairly quickly, meaning that your vehicle is off the road while a new, expensive windscreen is fitted.”

Chips and cracks can be repaired quickly, easily and cheaply with the Esprit Windscreen Repair System, says the company, meaning trucks and fleet vehicles can be back on the road within 20-30 minutes, and the screen is as safe and clear as a brand new screen.

The Esprit system is suitable for all types of windscreen, and was pioneered on trucks and buses back in the 1980s.

“Windscreens were so expensive and time consuming to repair that companies needed a quicker and much more cost effective way to deal with the inevitable chips and cracks,” said Esprit.

“The system has evolved a lot since then, but it’s still quick and simple to use and value for money sits at the heart of the company.”

The ergonomic bridge is positioned over the break. Esprit resin is then injected into the break and cured in 75 seconds with the LED lamp.

“A little polish and the screen is clear and strong, and responds in an accident in exactly the same way as a new windscreen,” the firm continued.

“Damage can be repaired anywhere on the screen, including all but the most severe damage in the driver’s vision.”

The Esprit system also comes with training, either in person or online, accredited by the Institute of the Motor Industry. Esprit has also been awarded Made in Britain accreditation, emphasising its commitment to high quality, British-made goods with the backup of a British based technical team.

The kit also includes a battery pack for mobile repairs on the road.

“There are several cost-effective ways to carry out repairs,” said the company.

“The Esprit Elite kit includes the Esprit made LED lamp and enough resin for 40 repairs. This is the ideal kit for larger fleets or those who often need to repair screens.

“Esprit also sells the Compact kit which is ideal for smaller fleets or those who carry out fewer repairs. It still contains all the necessary Esprit hardware and consumables, but it’s pared back to suit the occasional repairer.”

Esprit products are available online via its website, along with a free training video and other tips and tricks. Consumables ordered before 3pm are sent out the same day, and customers can also order over the phone.

Esprit has been making windscreen repair kits for over 40 years, and its Staffordshire-based team can provide advice as to which kit is most suitable for individual fleets’ needs.
