Texaco Lubricants has confirmed the latest product in its Texaco Delo engine oil range to be granted MAN M3677 approval.

The approval, awarded by truck and engine manufacturer MAN, is for the Texaco Delo 400 XSP-SD SAE 5W-30 product, a high performance synthetic heavy-duty diesel engine oil designed to provide improved fuel economy, and said to offer extended drain, engine wear protection and encourage best possible engine service life.

“Texaco Delo 400 XSP-SD SAE 5W-30 meets the performance requirements of many naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines, and, as a low viscosity synthetic base oil, promotes cold engine start wear protection for engines operating in sub-zero temperatures,” said Texaco Lubricants.

“The product is formulated for soot dispersancy and wear control, and helps to keep piston rings, valve and piston lands clean, improving uptime.

“In addition, Texaco Delo 400 XSP-SD SAE 5W-30 helps to minimise diesel particulate filter (DPF) emission control system cleaning, and offers improved service life. It features advanced synthetic base stocks and additives offer extended drain through wear, oxidation, sludge and oil thickening control.”

The oil is formulated for four-stroke naturally aspirated and turbocharged diesel engines and is recommended for engines meeting Euro I – Euro V and the newest Euro VI emissions requirements, where allowed by OEMs, whilst also being suitable for use with many after treatment systems.
