Renault T High is neat fit for NETAD fleet

North East Truck and Driver (NETAD) has recently strengthened its fleet with the addition of a new Renault T High.

Traditionally, NETAD has operated an all-DAF fleet – but has recently been won over by the offering from David Wilson at Thompsons Commercials (Renault).

After a successful run with the T High demonstrator, NETAD concluded that the 520 6×2 mid lift is a truck that has both the driver and operator at its heart.

As the driver spends all week away from home, being able to offer the extra space the T High offers was an important consideration.

As all NETAD’s fleet are trampers, this additional vehicle was ordered with a high spec – including large fridge with cool box, sunroof, leather steering wheel, heated and cooled leather driver’s seat, climate control, microwave, Alcoa alloys, light bar with beacons, air horns, infotainment system and uprated drivers’ bunk.

The cab air kit further enhances the truck’s imposing stance, says the firm, while helping to improve the already impressive aerodynamics.

According to NETAD owner Mick Watson, the company has moved away from the hire/lease market and now purchases all vehicles it operates, with trucks from three manufacturers currently featuring on the fleet – DAF Super Space Cabs, Mercedes-Benz Actros and now the Renault T High.

In time, vehicle data, driver feedback and service/aftersales support will determine the direction of the next purchases.

The vehicle has been supplied with the benefit of a full repair and maintenance package.
