Lighting provider Redtronic has outlined details of its most recent product introductions and innovations, including the Infinity SP2 Stealth Plate.

It is available in single and tri-colour options and is said to offer a perfect solution for electric vehicles where grilles are no longer accessible for traditional mounted directional LEDs. The tri-colour model also includes an extremely effective work light feature, says the company.

“Due to the position on the vehicle the Infinity SP2 benefits major industry requirements such as IP69K for the toughest environments,” said Redtronic.

“The directional LEDs are EMC R10 and ECE R65 approved and come as standard with seven flash patterns. The Infinity SP2 is manufactured to the highest standards at Redtronic’s manufacturing facilities in Elland, Yorkshire.

Users include the AA.

“As electric vehicles don’t have traditional vented grilles, the AA have been challenged to find suitable warning lights for our newest EV,” said the organisation’s fleet engineer.

“Redtronic have designed the Infinity SP2 Stealth Plate which perfectly fits EV requirements and solves this problem. When powered, the side emitting amber light provides road users with improved warning visibility especially when vehicles are exiting a junction.

“I particularly like that the stealth plate is available with high intensity and highly effective forward-facing work-lamps which solves another problem.”

Meanwhile, the compact, low-profile Tornado microbar has been engineered to offer excellent value in terms of performance, durability, style and cost, says Redtronic.

“It meets the needs of all customer applications, from amber safety and commercial vehicles to emergency services and covert vehicles. The Tornado microbar complements modern vehicle design by providing exceptional warning to other road users of a vehicle operating outside of normally expected parameters,” the firm continued.

The company highlights the microbar’s UK manufacture, enhancing its response time which enables it to offer short lead times and fast turnaround.

“Redtronic have comprehensive stock holding to respond quickly to customers’ requirements,” it added.

“Up until now, Redtronic have been missing a cost-effective microbar from their range so we hope you are as excited as we are to see their latest product introduction.

“The Tornado microbar was designed in conjunction with Bri-Stor systems (who are a market leader in commercial vehicle conversions and convert over 8,000 vehicles per year).

“Bri-Stor had used competitors’ products for many years which were presenting installation and operational challenges. Bri-Stor and Redtronic worked together to design a microbar which is innovative, high quality, cost effective and upgradable to better serve end users.”

Jack Draper, sales manager at Bri-Stor, said: “Redtronic took an idea that we had discussed and within days had supplied a working prototype. When I confirmed the product was exactly what the business was looking for, Redtronic unbelievably had it fully type approved within 2-3 weeks; we were amazed at the speed at which such a high-quality product was designed. We intend to use the Redtronic Tornado microbar on future vehicle builds for years to come.”

Also available are the Infinity US6, BB4 and NV6 directionals, which meet the needs of all customer applications, says Redtronic, from amber safety and commercial vehicles to emergency services and covert vehicles. They are all available in single and tri-colour options and meeting ECE R65 certifications.

“The Infinity US6 is an extremely slim versatile warning device making it the ideal solution for vehicle grilles and window applications,” said the company.

“It features a strong polycarbonate lens on an aluminium body to maximise protection from debris impact and to absorb heat dispersion. The Infinity US6 has synchronisation capability with other Redtronic products, and includes an industry first TD-Sync feature allowing users to synchronise and direct traffic with this inbuilt capability…

“The Infinity BB4 is a surface recessed mounted LED directional, innovatively designed to incorporate all driver electronics in the body of the product. The BB4 features a strong polycarbonate lens on an aluminium body to maximise protection from debris impact and to absorb heat dispersion, accompanied also with another industry first double pop-lock grommet to ensure the BB4 is secured as if part of the original vehicle, also boasting major industry requirements.

“Unlike many button blast directional LEDs on the market Redtronic’s are manufactured to the highest standards right here in the UK.”

Finally, the Infinity NV6 is described as an extremely slim, versatile and discrete warning device intended for vertical mount applications.

“It is predominately designed for modern emergency vehicle vertical grilles as well the rear door side sections of commercial vehicles,” said Redtronic.

“The fixing method allows the lamp to be installed without any visible screw mounts therefore making it look like an original lamp.”

The company has also recently given its website a complete overhaul in terms of aesthetics, navigation and functionality.

The new site combines a comprehensive list of Redtronic products and integrates a new login portal that allows customers to customise products, pay for orders and even configure bespoke products such as lightbars to their needs.

Andy Redfern, sales and marketing director at Redtronic, said: “Our old website was becoming a little ‘tired’ and we were restricted on advancing its functionality. It was important for us to concentrate on making the customers journey as simple and pleasant as possible.

“Although the new website seems lightyears ahead of the old one, Redtronic does not stand still, we have big plans for its future development.”
