Ring Automotive has highlighted the features of its OE-quality headlight bulbs for commercial vehicle applications, as well as its inspection lamps for use by technicians during CV maintenance.

Ring’s 24V bulbs are said to be ideal for trucks and other professional applications, having been subjected to rigorous testing to ensure they can stand up to use in a commercial environment.

As winter edges closer, more logistics journeys will be completed at night, so it’s crucial that commercial vehicle drivers and technicians stay on top of fixing any blown bulbs to ensure safety, the company advises.

It also emphasises the importance of having the fastest-moving bulb references to hand. Ring’s latest 24V bulb stand is fully stocked with 174 commercial vehicle-compatible 24V bulbs.

The BU274 24V Bulb Stand can be wall mounted for fast access by workshop technicians, and enables easy visibility of any items that require replenishment.

Ring’s BU274 contains 16 of the top 20 sales pareto bulb types across headlamp bulbs and the smaller auxiliary bulbs; all are designed to original equipment quality standards and comply with ECE regulation 37 for a wide range of truck, buses, and commercial vehicles.

Terri Clark, lighting marketing manager at Ring, said: “The new BU274 pre-stocked bulb stand is designed so that it can be wall mounted, providing fleet and commercial vehicle garages and workshops with a solution to having the most popular 24V headlight and auxiliary bulbs at the point of installation.”

Ring also highlights the continued research and development that facilitates the production of high-end inspection lamps to support the needs of technicians working on commercial vehicles, complementing its range of chargers and tyre inflation products.

“Ring recognises that an inspection lamp is often a technician’s best friend and therefore it’s essential that they are designed with durability in mind to withstand busy workshop environments,” said the company.

“All products within the RIL6000 range offer a robust and reliable performance and have been extensively tested in Ring’s on-site ISO:9001-accredited Quality Assurance facility. Bright, portable, rechargeable and resistant to oil and dirt, they are tough enough to withstand the knocks in a workshop, whatever the job.

“Ease of use has also been considered, with all products featuring one-button control, up to six hours of operating time and a lightweight design.”

The company has additionally developed new smart battery charging products designed to help keep commercial vehicles on the road, including updates to its SmartCharge Pro product line.

Said the company: “The 60A RSCP60T is compatible with stop/start alternators, and its fully insulated high-capacity battery clamps and built-in thermal and overload protection gives operators full confidence of safety. Its 540A jump start function can get trucks running again in rapid time.”

“The 60A RSCP60T has been designed for mixed fleets, capable of delivering 12V and 24V charging in three stages, to help speed up the charging time. It’s a three-in-one professional charging solution, with a 60A charger, 540A jump starter and 30A continuous battery support.”
