ISN Garage Assist provides a variety of testing and inspection equipment suitable for operators whose workshops handle light commercials, as well as a full test bay package – citing a growing number of fleets choosing to handle MOT testing in-house.

Part of ISN Europe and formerly known as AMN Garage Services, the business now has access to a greater range of products, services and resources, and a growing team of specialists who support all aspects of Class VII MOT test provision.

The company offers a complete turnkey MOT bay solution, handling the initial application, planning, installation and post-installation phases of the project.

“The team can take an MOT bay from concept to reality, providing workshop owners with as much, or a little support as they require, throughout each stage of the process,” said ISN.

“The ‘Total Project Management’ service includes administering the paperwork, ensuring the test lane requirements are right for the business, fully planning the layout and equipment using computer aided design and ensuring that the correct information is submitted to the DVSA.

“Groundworks are provided through ISN preferred specialist contractors, or, if a customer prefers, their own nominated builder.”

Lifts can be surface mounted or recessed; alternatively, pits are an option. If a particular brand of equipment is desired, ISN Garage Assist will happily install it but, through its close ties with sister company Hofmann Megaplan, it can recommend and supply lifts, brake and headlamp testers, emission gas analysers, diesel smoke meters, decelerometers, play detectors and jacking beams. When complete, all equipment is calibrated and the correct certification is issued.

Ongoing management and scheduled maintenance of MOT equipment is available and, through an online portal, Protean, ISN tracks service and calibration deadlines and plan engineer visits. The team can calibrate all MOT equipment and most leading hand tool brands.

Calibration service history is fully traceable; workshops are given full access to the system, enabling them to check the calibration status of equipment, view and reprint certificates, equipment maintenance reports, equipment service history and scheduled maintenance plans on-demand.
