Trailer manufacturer Van Hool offers a range of specialist products for the UK and Ireland – including road tankers, tank containers, chassis, curtain siders and heavy duty flatbeds – and says its high quality equipment provides low total cost of ownership and high longevity.

In the chassis range, Van Hool delivers specialised chassis for dedicated tank container, liquid and bulk transport. Van Hool offers the 7.82 chassis which can transport 20’ up to 7.82m tank containers, and the 30’-20’ which can transport 20’ to 30’ tank containers.

Van Hool also developed the Universal chassis, said to offer versatility and efficiency. It can transport every type of container, tank containers for liquids and bulk and box containers – and always with an optimal weight distribution, due to the innovative sliding system which is unique for this chassis. It also offers the possibility to charge and discharge a (heavy) 20’ at the loading bay and move it to the driving position. The company cites build quality as among the key advantages.

Van Hool additionally offers a range of chassis for box container transport: the 40’-45’ range. These are available with straight frame and with gooseneck. The Universal chassis can also be used for box container transport.

The Van Hool portfolio also includes tipping chassis, offering a variety between 20’ and 40’.

Flatbeds are one of Van Hool’s historical specialities. The company’s portfolio of heavy-duty flatbeds range from standard models to a specialised series for the oil industry.

Customers include Quay Transport, which specialises in the transport of ISO tanks and containers, and considers a reliable chassis a key priority. Following a thorough market search, the company reports that it is: “very happy with the quality of the Van Hool 7.82 chassis”.

“The chassis is built to last and adapted to our needs and it is a very safe environment for our drivers, which matters a lot to us,” said Quay Tansport.

“Van Hool offers solutions to optimise the safety of the driver; they just think of everything.”

Another customer, Denis Donovan Transport of Tipperary, Ireland, commented: “We use Van Hool for the quality and attention to detail along with the longevity of the product; it’s a perfect fit for our business with chassis and road tankers.”

Meanwhile, Cheltenham-based Charles Russell Transport has taken delivery of two new Van Hool flatbeds.

“The trailers arrived on time as described as per spec; quality and presentation is as good as it gets,” the firm said.
