Motorhome service centre RVSC has upgraded its facilities in Scotland after purchasing a light commercial four-post lift with manual jacking beam from Totalkare, to meet the necessary requirements involved with maintaining light commercial vehicles.

With depot locations in London and Edinburgh, RV Supercentre is the service partner of Just Go, which manages a fleet of over 250 motorhomes that is updated annually to the newest models on the market and available for hire by customers for holidays across the UK and Europe.

RVSC maintains the Just Go Scotland fleet in-house to ensure the best standards for every trip and offers a service and repair centre for motorhome owners, including those customers who have purchased ex-fleet vehicles.

Its Edinburgh service and repair centre was recently upgraded with a light commercial four-post lift from Totalkare to support ongoing maintenance activities, with plans for an additional install of the same lift in its London depot following a move to larger premises.

A Totalkare light commercial four-post lift is customisable to individual workshop needs and is said to be an ideal lifting solution for when a fixed position is required. Benefitting from a range of lifting capacities up to 8,000kg and platform lengths between 4.7 and 6 metres, the light commercial four-post lift can also be supplied with jacking beam, lighting and ramp options.

The model installed by Totalkare has a maximum lifting capacity of 6,500kg and a six-metre platform, ideal for the variety of motorhomes managed by Just Go Scotland. It has been surface-mounted with a drive-through ramp set, although the lift can also be recessed into the floor for a flush fit if required.

Alasdair Anderson, general manager of Just Go Scotland, said: “Our fleet of 2, 4 and 6-berth motorhomes require specific equipment to lift and maintain. The light commercial four-post lift from Totalkare is perfect for these requirements and we are confident it will improve the efficiency and capacity of our workshop.”

James Atkins, area sales manager for Totalkare, added: “Totalkare have worked closely with Just Go Scotland to ensure that the new addition to their workshop will perform as needed with the necessary customisations. By adding a drive-through ramp and manual 2,800kg jacking beam Just Go will be able to effectively service their whole fleet and thus maximise fleet availability.”
