aide automotive has introduced the Shark anti-theft catalytic converter alarm for van, HGV and car applications.
“We have seen [catalytic converter theft] reported in the UK media many times in the last few years, with the theft figures rising year on year,” said the company.
While aide already offered a catalytic converter alarm, Catguard, specifically designed for HGVs, it requires a professional installation and is more expensive.
The Shark is affordable for all, the firm says, and easy to fit, even enabling members of the public to protect against this costly crime at home.
“We truly believe this product will go a long way in preventing cat theft.”
