Scania dealer group and commercial workshop operator TruckEast Ltd has announced continued expansion in East Anglia, with plans to move its head office to a new purpose-built site in Bury St Edmunds from November.

Located just off junction 47a of the A14 and just a short distance from its old Stowmarket base, the site measures a total of 3.7 acres, providing space for a large workshop, vehicle wash facility, electric charging points and office space. With the new facilities now available, the branch will represent an investment into the local area of over £7 million.

Utilising the new workshop and bodyshop’s eight 30m bays, the new branch offers servicing, repairs and maintenance for all makes of commercial vehicle.

The building has been installed with energy saving features, including solar panels, LED lighting, rainwater harvesting, full insulation and skylights. There is also a green area to encourage wildlife and biodiversity.

Harley Coulson, managing director of TruckEast, said: “This marks the start of a new chapter for TruckEast, and we are delighted to be opening the doors to this fantastic new facility, situated in such an ideal location.

“The Stowmarket branch has been our home for the last 52 years and during that time the business has grown enormously, now outgrowing that location. This new state of the art dealership will allow us to take our services to the next level for our customers; both existing and new. We can’t wait to continue our long-standing pledge to keep your business moving.”
