Yuasa launches YCX charging range
Battery manufacturer Yuasa launched a brand-new fully automatic nine-stage battery charger and maintainer at the recent Automechanika event in Frankfurt. The Yuasa YCX12 forms part of a new four-tier range and is designed for reliable charging on batteries fitted to commercial vehicles.
“Developed using GS Yuasa’s leading battery expertise, which spans over 125 years, the YCX12 charger has been designed to extend battery life, maintain performance and provide ultimate reliability for which the Japanese battery manufacturer is renowned,” said the company.
“The YCX12 charger has a bespoke, nine-stage charging profile, and is the perfect match for all vehicle battery brands. It also has higher power settings than most other comparable models on the market so commercial vehicle batteries can be charged faster and more reliably on or off the vehicle.
“The YCX12 can charge 12V batteries, up to 240Ah, even from flat and maintain batteries up to 360Ah. Furthermore, it is actively cooled, meaning that it maintains a stable power output and longer charger service life when in use for extended periods of time.”
The charger has an automatic maintenance mode that sustains optimum state of charge during battery storage. Enhanced safety features include short circuit, overcharging and reverse polarity protection.
It also features simple navigation buttons and clear LED indicators, said to offer complete ease of use, and durable splashproof construction with integrated clamp and eyelet connectors and built-in power supply modes.
