Blue Crystal lessens the burden for Longhurst
Software provider Blue Crystal has been helping Longhurst Refrigeration to streamline its processes and keep customers compliant.
Longhurst Refrigeration is a multi-award-winning transport refrigeration maintenance company operating out of Hythe, Kent.
Using Blue Crystal’s RFM system, the Longhurst engineers are able to complete all of their job cards and inspection sheets on the go in a clean, compliant format, minimising the admin burden on the technicians and keeping customers’ fleets moving.
With 11 mobile repair vans in the Longhurst fleet, the firm needed an application that they could use on the go without an internet connection, which is where the RFM Go system came in.
“Thanks to the RFM system we have managed to massively increase our company’s productivity & utilisation, with huge improvements in our workflow,” said the company.
“As a result we are now able to achieve same day invoicing and full stock control all within one system….
“With the introduction of the parts and stock functionality, our parts and stock process has also been massively improved and streamlined.”
Longhurst has also been a long-time customer of Blue Crystal’s Breakdown Manager system, having processed over 29,000 breakdowns since it started using the system.
“Breakdown Manager is the most efficient platform for our business and stores all service history and breakdown information in one easy-to-find location, and is also available for the engineers to see,” said Longhurst.
“This is a vital part of the day-to-day running of our business.”
