Connected diagnostics from ZF

CV technology provider ZF offers a diagnostics solution in the form of its ZF Testman, which can be used to test all electronically controlled ZF products online via telemetry or laptop – whether the vehicle is moving or stationary.

“To that end, a notebook equipped with the ZF diagnostic software for motor vehicles is simply connected to the vehicle electronics system via an interface during the next repair,” said the company.

“ZF Testman keeps you constantly up to speed with your vehicle status for effective, targeted troubleshooting.”

Various editions of ZF Testman are available, including an IAM Edition for all currently available applications, a CV Edition for all available commercial vehicle applications, and a PC Edition for passenger car applications.

New functions of the current ZF Testman DPA06 hardware include Bluetooth interface between the DPA06 and the laptop, said to make work easy and flexible – while an integrated ZF Aftermarket measuring tool can deploy pressure and temperature measuring technology to scan hydraulics and pneumatics.

“For some ZF products there are special features that support the analysis of complex systems, for example, you can check the functionality of the range selector or more easily find loose connections in wiring harnesses,” said ZF.

Included in the package are the hardware/interface module, DPA06; the software DVD including a year’s licence; a connection cable set for transmission electronics; and a laptop connection cable. Various optional vehicle adaptors are available separately
