The Road Haulage Association (RHA) offers a wide variety of services to assist vehicle operators in complying with road transport-related regulations.

These include compliance audits for both LGV and coach operators, designed to measure the performance of fleets’ systems and procedures against legal undertakings as detailed on the O-licence, and industry best practice. A compliance audit for van operators is also available, as well as an audit for the DVSA’s Earned Recognition scheme.

Further services highlighted include tailored contracts of employment; vehicle inspection services performed by a visiting independent engineer; and a portfolio of analysis offerings including driver licence checking, tachograph analysis, fleet maintenance and a daily defect reporting app.

“Fleet and operator compliance is high on our priority list at the RHA,” it said.

“We support, guide and advise our members the importance of having the correct systems, processes and procedures in place to satisfy their legal obligations.

“In common with the majority of other industry issues and challenges, compliance legislation and interpretation changes on a regular basis. We pass news of changes to our members through our extensive area manager who have direct contact with members.”

The RHA also has its own, free-to-download app, RoadWayLive, which it uses to deliver regular news bulletins, as well as via its social media channels.
