ER module for concrete sector launched
DVSA has launched a Concrete Operational Module for its Earned Recognition scheme which recognises safety and compliance in the aggregates and construction sector.
Accredited operators will be recognised for their high standards across operations, drivers and vehicles in the scheme, which has been developed in conjunction with the British Aggregates Association.
It sets out sector-specific knowledge and training for managers, office staff and drivers.
“To meet the requirements of this module, an audit is required in addition to the mandatory DVSA Earned Recognition standards audit,” said DVSA.
“The operator must first satisfy all the applicable standards in sections 1 to 10 of the heavy goods vehicle DVSA Earned Recognition standards. Once they have done this, the operator can choose to meet the additional requirements in the optional module.”
Operational aspects covered include weight compliance, vehicle maintenance and cleanliness, load security, and health and safety.
