Dr Air Brake’s diagnostics range
Doctor Air Brake has developed a wide portfolio of diagnostic products suitable for all makes of trailers, and used by fleets all over the world. Two of the company’s best-selling products are Code Talk and Van Trailer Check (VTC).
The Doctor Air-Brake Code Talk II has recently been launched, which does not require any connecting dongles, as these are now inside the main unit.
“This means only cables are required to connect with the trailer; best of all, the cost is now lower,” said Doctor Air Brake.
“So, our well-designed, simple-to-use diagnostic tool for all makes of ABS/EBS brake systems is now cheaper and if used with our VTC in a mobile workshop, all diagnostics can be done from within the van.
“There’s a special diagnostic four-pin connector on the top of the VTC which allows the EBS interface to plug straight into the braking ECU via the CAN lines. The Code Talk can then read out and clear and faults codes that the trailer ECU may have.”
The Code Talk can also display live air pressures, wheel speeds and system voltages to further aid diagnostics, says the company, allowing users to check all these metrics from their van – “perfect on a cold and rainy day”.
To further enhance one-man operation, a radio remote control feature enables the VTC to be operated from anywhere around the trailer, for further time-saving benefits.
Doctor Air Brake will be exhibiting at the forthcoming Road Transport Expo at Stoneleigh from 28-30 June, giving attendees the chance to meet the team and see the products on offer.
