Malcolm Group stays safe with VT dashcams
W H Malcolm has partnered with Vision Techniques to install road safety equipment across 45 of its vehicles.
As a leading provider of logistics, construction and maintenance services, the Malcolm Group has three core divisions, 2,000 employees working across 16 sites throughout the UK, and operates over 500 vehicles and 1,200 trailers.
The firm has installed VT Vuew dash cameras in its vehicles as an effective way to collect evidence if no or only contradicting witnesses are available, in order to resolve issues quickly as and when they may arise.
Vision Techniques highlights how ‘crash for cash’ scams have hit the headlines in recent times, with the UK’s Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB) estimating the cost at around £340 million each year. Not only does this increase insurance premiums, it also impacts on vehicle downtime, repair costs, driver safety and businesses’ reputations.
“VT Vuew is the latest 4G enabled dash camera that offers a full 1080HD image with the latest Sony Starvis technology to give a clear image, even in ultra-low lighting,” said Vision Techniques.
“It then stores this information on the internally secured SD card to avoid any tampering. This system can also be paired to use with VT Recording systems and VT Connect platform.”
