Waeco adds value with AC servicing range

With manufacturers increasingly shifting from R134A to 1234YF refrigerant for environmental reasons, the Waeco ASC6000 series now covers the full commercial vehicle market and all refrigerant types.

The new ASC6400 range can simply be customised on setup for the respective refrigerant type (available in R134A, 1234YF and R513). On setup, the workshop will have a choice of hose sizes starting from 3m long hoses and up to 8m, if required. The 6400 application also comes with a large internal vessel of 25kg.

Features include an integrated vehicle database which contains specific charging amounts for trucks and agricultural vehicles, supporting the operator during the process.

The units are available in standard and Low Emission options.

“The Low Emission model achieves a refrigerant recovery rate of almost 99.9 percent; this is because the refrigerant is recovered at two points on the circuit that would usually be lost from the waste oil pot and the vacuum pump,” said Waeco.

“As a result, more resources are recycled, and less gases escape into the atmosphere – and this produces significant savings on whatever refrigerant type is being used.”

The company added: “The Waeco ASC service units can be upgraded with a Wi-Fi Kit option. This practical add-on can be used to send tasks to the service unit from a tablet, computer or smartphone, or receive service data for convenient documentation.”

The company also supplies 1234YF refrigerant in 5kg and 10kg bottles.

“Today we see ourselves as a technology leader and trendsetter in workshop equipment, especially for automotive air conditioning on cars, trucks, agricultural machines, buses and trains, and we are striving to reinforce or position with new developments and geographical expansion,” said Waeco.

“By maintaining a constant technological dialogue with the automotive industry, we are familiar with the relevant quality standards and develop our products accordingly to adapt to future workshop needs.”

Waeco is recommended by Volvo Truck/Renault Truck, MAN Truck & Bus, DAF and in some countries, Scania.
