DVSA unveils ‘road to ER’ for new operators
The Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency is trialling a new ‘road to DVSA Earned Recognition’ programme, which is open to new HGV and PSV operators whose licence was issued in the last six months.
“Being on the programme will help new operators build best practice and good compliance in their business so they can confidently apply for DVSA Earned Recognition (ER) status in the future,” said the agency.
“New operators will work towards key performance indicators (KPIs) that are similar to those in the DVSA Earned Recognition scheme.”
The programme will last for two years, with DVSA providing guidance and support as operators work through a set of eight milestones.
There are no application or subscription fees, though participants will need to pay for an audit if they wish to join the Earned Recognition scheme at the end of the programme.
